FAIRFIELD, OH (April 23, 2023)—Saturday's Joe Nuxhall Miracle League Fields Opening Day Parade presented by The TQL Foundation officially opened "The Joy Factory" for business for the 2023 season!
Special needs athletes and their families from the Great Miami Valley YMCA Youth League and the Therapeutic Recreation for the Disabled (TRD) Adult League and their families walked, rolled, and rode throughout the streets of Fairfield while being greeted and encouraged by hundreds of community members.
Here's a photo gallery of some of our favorite moments from the parade and our on-field ceremony (use the arrows on the sides to flip through all the photos).
"Our parade is truly one of the most rewarding things that we are able to do for our all-stars and their families," said Kim Nuxhall, President and Board Chairman of The Nuxhall Foundation. "Seeing our community, especially our great neighbors along Mississippi Avenue, show up in such incredible numbers and with such passion for our players and our mission...it's just mind-blowing and warms your soul."

This year's parade was generously sponsored by The TQL Foundation, which was created in 2015 to harness the values of Total Quality Logistics, LLC for the good of the community. Just as TQL’s success hinges on strong teams that exceed expectations for their customers, the TQL Foundation exists to do the same for the community.
The Nuxhall Foundation is the legacy foundation for former Major League Baseball pitcher and longtime Cincinnati Reds broadcaster, Joe Nuxhall. A central project of The Nuxhall Foundation is The Joe Nuxhall Miracle League Fields—an entirely accessible baseball and recreational facility where every player with every challenge gets every chance to play. More than 200 players between ages 4 to 78 participate in programs at the Miracle League Fields. For more information, visit www.nuxhallmiracleleague.org.
