We are very proud to announce the addition of our brand new LED video board to the East Field at The Joe Nuxhall Miracle League Fields! Now, no matter on which field our all-stars are playing, they will have the opportunity to see themselves on the big screen while they’re at bat… just like at all the Major League ballparks! And with the help of awesome people like Kenny ‘Bob’ Rhodus and his IBEW 648 Electrical Union brothers, LSI Industries, Enerfab, Middletown Electric, Wagner Industries, McGraw/Kokosing, Tristate Productions and Cincy Entertainment Services, both of our video boards will have state-of-the-art functionality… with video playback and other great features! Be sure to stop by The Joe Nuxhall Miracle League Fields during our 2016 season to check it out!
A little background on the naming of the new Edward and Roberta Bruck Memorial Video Board on the LCPL Taylor Prazynski Memorial Field:
LCPL Taylor Prazynski was a former student of Kim Nuxhall and volunteered in the special needs classrooms while in high school. In 2003, Taylor joined the USMC; he served as a 0311 infantryman and saw gunner with the 3rd Bat/8th Marine Reg Lima Company 4th Platoon. His unit did a peacekeeping mission in Haiti 2004 and deployed to Iraq 2005. Taylor was part of history supporting the 1st free election in Iraq. He was killed in the line of duty on May 9, 2005 in the Al Anbar Province supporting Operation Matador. Kim Nuxhall wanted to honor Taylor’s service to both the special needs community and to our country by naming The Joe Nuxhall Miracle League Field’s East field after LCPL Taylor Prazynski. Taylor’s father, John, and his family are great supporters of our mission and we are proud to have them as members of our JNMLF family.
On one Saturday morning during our GMVY Youth Miracle League games, Mr. & Mrs. Brent Parks visited the fields to watch the kids play. While there, they noticed that the LCPL Taylor Prazynski Memorial Field did not currently have a video board. Wanting to learn more about LCPL Taylor Prazynski and the need for a video board on this field, they spoke with Kim Nuxhall that day. Upon hearing the story, they were inspired to make a contribution to allow us to purchase a new LED video board for our East Field. Wanting to honor them for their selfless contribution, the video board was named after their loved ones, Edward and Roberta Bruck. We cannot thank the Parks and Bruck families enough for their support of not only the new video board, but our mission in general.
