Our adult softball league is administered by Therapeutic Recreation for the Disabled and is designed for adults with special needs, ages 16 and up. Therapeutic Recreation's mission is to provide and facilitate recreational opportunities and leisure-time pursuits for people of all ages, with mental and/or physical disabilities, primarily in Butler County, Ohio. The softball league is TRD's most popular program, including over 100 adults, of varying abilities. Coached and umpired by volunteers, the league games reinforce batting and fielding skills, as well as teamwork and good sportsmanship, while following most of the rules found in traditional softball games. With the new location of the Joe Nuxhall Miracle League Fields, TRD is now able to accommodate players with adaptive equipment more than ever before. The Therapeutic Recreaton for the Disable Adult Softball League is played during the Summer season (May through July) on Friday nights, plus Wednesdays in June. Registration fees are $15 per player and include a player shirt and hat. For questions about the adult league, contact Steve Smith at (513) 253-6740 or firstname.lastname@example.org.
